COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP
1. Ex Officio Voting Members
- President (Committee Chair)
- Chancellor
- Vice-Chair (Academic Programs)
- President, HÂþ» Student Union
2. Elected Voting Members
- 1 member from each Faculty, no fewer than 2 of whom shall be Elected Academic Unit Senetars.
3. Student Voting members
- 1 student apointed by the HÂþ» Student Union.
4. Board of Governors Voting Members
- 2 members appointed by the Board of Governors.
5. Alumni Voting Member
- 1 member appointed by the HÂþ» University Alumni Association.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senate Honorary Degrees Committee is responsible for the following:Ìý
1.Ìý Nomination of Honorary Degree Candidates
- Recommending to Senate the adoption of criteria for the nomination of honorary degree candidates;
- Developing procedures for the nomination of honorary degree candidates; and
- Making nominations for honorary degree candidates to Senate.Ìý
2. Revocation of Honorary Degrees
- Recommending to Senate the adoption of criteria for the revocation of an honorary degree;Ìý
- Developing procedures for the revocation of an honorary degree;
- Recommending to Senate the revocation of an honorary degree.Ìý
3. Other tasks
- Taking whatever action is required to fulfill the mandate of the Committee; and
- Executing other tasks as directed by Senate.Ìý
