MSc in Physiology & Biophysics

Degree requirements

Successful completion of our MSc program will require you to:

  • complete formal course work
  • conduct original research
  • write and defend a thesis

You'll also need to:

  • earn at least 3.5 credits (In addition to the 2 credits you'll receive when you complete your thesis, you'll need to complete 1.5 credits' worth of courses.)
  • participate in each year
  • present at least one departmental seminar
  • take an advanced-level human physiology course (if you achieved a B or lower in an upper level human physiology course)
  • maintain a minimum grade of B- in all classes
  • teach an undergraduate physiology course

This program requires you to research, present and defend an original thesis that’s worthy of publication in a respected national journal.
