MA Thesis:

Why Dal?

As an Edmonton, Alberta native, I was drawn to the idea of living near the ocean. HÂþ» is a mid-sized university, and is also a leading institution in the study of popular music in Canada, which added to its appeal and made it an easy choice.

What Inspires Me?

I am inspired by a host of female artists, writers, and activists, including Patti Smith, Christine Sun Kim, Chimimanda Ngozi Adichie, and Beyoncé. I am also encouraged by the hard work and resilience of my mother, who is both my best friend and my biggest fan.
