Co‑op, Certificates and Engineering Concurrent Programs

Co-operative education is the perfect opportunity to explore career options in your field. Through co-op, you'll alternate three or four paid work terms with your regular classwork and graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Co-op).ÌýThe program integrates eight academic terms with three to four work terms. On completion of a Science Co-op program, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science Co-op. Ìý

Students must be eligible to legally work in Canada. Typically, students must apply by May 30th, before their second year commences. Work terms normally start in either January or May of your second year.

A GPA of 3.0 is required for admission. In addition to completing three to four work terms, you must fulfill the requirements of either a 120 credit hours BSc Major program while maintaining at least a B average, or a 120 credit hours BSc Honours program. Departmental approval and Science Co-op Program approval is required to obtain admission to the Co-operative Education Program in Economics. Students must also enroll in and pass Science Co-op Seminar Series, SCIE 2800.00. Interested students should inquire about the program before beginning their second year of study.
