Applicants interested in pursuing scholarship support from NSERC, SSHRC or CIHR
As of the Fall of 2013, NSERC, SSHRC and CIHR have changed the way master’s-level graduate scholarships are administered. They are now evaluated entirely at the university to which you are applying. If you are offered one of these scholarships, it can only be used at the institution offering it.
If you are applying to the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) program and believe that you may be a competitive candidate for a tri-council scholarship (NSERC, SSHRC and CIHR), please contact our Academic Program Coordinator as early as possible to discuss your prospects. Also, talk to SRES faculty members you may want to work with to discuss your research interests.
