Bio
Andrew Fenton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy, HÂþ» University. He holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Calgary, a M.A. in philosophy from HÂþ» University, and a B.A. (Hons) in philosophy and comparative religion from Acadia University.
Fenton’s research interests include animal ethics, the philosophy of animal cognition and behavior, and the philosophy of autism. He has authored or co-authored papers that have appeared in such journals as Biology and Philosophy, Cambridge Quarterly of Healthcare Ethics, Developing World Bioethics, Journal of Animal Ethics, Journal of Bioethical Inquiry, Journal of Ethics in Mental Health, Journal for the Theory of Social Behavior, Neuroethics, Public Health Ethics, and The Monist. He also has authored or co-authored chapters in such books as The Philosophy of Autism (co-edited by Jami L. Anderson and Simon Cushing, Rowman and Littlefield, 2013), and Philosophy of Behavioral Biology (co-edited by Kathryn Plaisance and Thomas Reydon, Springer, 2012).
