Courses

The Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science has a diverse course offering that covers a broad range of topics, adding to the foundation students acquired during their undergraduate degrees.

Our 5000-level courses, cross-listed as fourth-year undergraduate courses, may be taken for graduate credit in certain circumstances. Normally, they are taken by new graduate students who have a background deficiency in a specific area. Courses at the 6000 level are full graduate courses.

All graduate students are also required to attend and participate in regular departmental seminars.

A selection of the following graduate classes are offered subject to demand.
