Consider This… features submitted commentary and perspectives from faculty members, tied to news events of the day. In this piece, Dr. Chris Simms in the School of Health Administration discusses the recent deaths of biologist and academic John Sulston and physicist Stephen Hawking within the context of evidence-based global health and research.
Dal Crossroads is an annual student-led interdisciplinary health research conference hosted by the Graduate Student Society at the School of Health and Human Performance. The first Dal Crossroads was held in 2002, making it one of the longest-running events of its kind.

Each year, the HÂþ» Impact Awards recognize outstanding student leaders for their contributions to the community. This year, nine Dal Health students walked away from the March 22nd ceremony with honours, and we couldn't be prouder!

WeUsThem Inc., a full-service agency located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been internationally recognized with a Gold Davey award for their work on Froogie, a mobile app that encourages fruit and vegetable consumption in youth. The app is a collaboration between WeUsThem and a Dal-based research team led by Dr. Sara Kirk.
