Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Be part of our ongoing programs and social events

Throughout the year the International Centre hosts various events and workshops for which we depend on volunteers.

Canada Revenue Agency Tax Clinics

In March the Canada Revenue Agency hosts a series of tax clinics to help international students process their income tax forms. They depend heavily on volunteers that are trained prior to the clinics. CRA volunteers learn the nuts and bolts of the income tax forms and help the students during the clinics. This volunteer position requires a commitment of approximately four hours over the course of two weeks in March and lots of attention to detail.

Event Volunteers

Help lead social events such as pumpkin carving and ice skating, or lead new students on trips to Access Nova Scotia. All are welcome to apply. The only requirements are an outgoing attitude and desire to meet new people!

Photography Volunteers

The International Centre is looking for students with photography experience to take pictures at some of our events including Orientation, International Education Week, and social events.

Language Spot

The International Centre ESL conversation group called Language Spot meets during the school year to provide students with a relaxed atmosphere to practice speaking English. The group is led by a volunteer coach who speaks English as their first language or has near-native fluency in English. For upcoming Language Spot events, please visit our ±è²¹²µ±ð.Ìý
