ULB was founded in 1834, just four years after Belgium itself was created. As the capital of the European Union and the capital city of Belgium, Brussels is well served by public transport. Brussels is less than two hours by train from Paris, Amsterdam, London and Cologne.

As a French-speaking university, most of the courses at the Université libre de Bruxelles are delivered in French. However, a growing number of Master degrees are partly or entirely delivered in English.

The University offers a wide range of French courses, prior to and during the academic year, to help its international students improve their language skills.and quality.

Aarhus University offers courses for exchange students in 3 cities (Aarhus, Herning and Copenhagen). It is not possible to follow courses in more than one city (due to distance)
Aarhus is the second-largest city in. The principalof, Aarhus is on the east side of the peninsula ofin the geographical center of Denmark. The city claims the unofficial title "Capital of Jutland".
Opened in 1928 in arented accommodation with only 78 students, today, the university of Aarhus has around 35,000 undergraduate and graduate students attend Aarhus University. These students are taught by around 6,000 full and part-time academic staff and supported byapp. 3,000 technical and administrative personnel.
Beautifully situated, most of the university's yellow brick buildings are placed in a hilly area with a morraine valley. These attractive friendly surroundings promote inspiration, industry and efficiency - and students who have come here have taken away fond and lasting memories.

  • The Department of Law does not offer courses in English at Bachelor’s level. Being accepted into classes in this department can prove difficult.
  • H students are not permitted to take classes outside of their faculty while at Aarhus.

Located in Tokyo, Japan, Waseda University was founded in 1882 as theTokyo Senmon Gakko(Tokyo College) and was renamed in 1902. Tokyo is ranked 7thin the world and 2ndin Asia for student life. It has the world’s best transportation network, and is the safest and cleanest big city in the world, making it the ideal place to study. With the reputation of having “every club there is to offer”, Waseda offers many recreational opportunities including intramural sports and extracurricular groups and clubs.
Course restrictions

As a rule, Exchange students must select their courses from those offered by the school they will be affiliated with at Waseda. In some cases, you may be permitted to take courses offered to all students or courses offered by other schools as well. Please note that the course list for the following year will be made available in March. These courses are open to all students including general students, so the possibility that you will be selected is quite small. Your study plan should be focused on the courses offered by the school for which you are applying.

Location and Setting

Malta is an island country in the Mediterranean Sea, south of Italy. The main campus is situated at Msida.

The University of Malta is the highest teaching institution in Malta. It is publicly funded and is open to all those who have the requisite qualifications. The University's structures are in line with the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area. Courses in the fields of Psychology and at our School of Business and Economics have limited capacity. Therefore, incoming exchange students majoring in Psychology, Business and Economics are given priority in registering for courses in these subject areas. Students with different majors can apply for courses in these fields but should be prepared to adapt their course choice in case these courses are full.

Bachelor’s students are not allowed to follow courses at Master’s level, unless these courses are also mentioned in the exchange courses overview under Bachelor’s courses.

Dutch-taught courses are not always available to exchange students, even when having good proficiency in Dutch. Students should check with incoming@vu.nl if there is a list available of courses taught in Dutch in their subject area.

The waterfront area at Cardiff Bay is home to the Welsh Assembly and the WalesMillenniumCentre arts complex. There are regular food, arts and craft festivals and visitors can walk across the barrage or take a boat trip around the bay.
