VP finance and admin

Gitta Kulczycki joined HÂþ»­ as vice president finance and administration in 2020. Gitta plays a key role in the development, management and planning for the university.

HÂþ»­ Gitta Kulczycki

The first of her German immigrant family to attend university, Gitta Kulczycki earned a Commerce Degree (Cum Laude) in Accounting, Finance and Mathematics from Laurentian University and an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa. She also holds the Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

Over her 40-plus year career, Gitta has served in a number of senior leadership roles in Canada’s post-secondary education, healthcare and high-tech sectors. Before coming to HÂþ»­, Gitta was vice-president finance and administration at the University of Alberta. Prior to that, she spent 12 years as vice-president resources and operations at Western University in London, Ontario. She has also served as vice-president and chief financial officer for the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, the South East Health Care Corporation in Moncton, and the Calgary General Hospital.

In November 2020, Gitta joined HÂþ»­ University as vice president finance and administration. As vice president finance and administration, Gitta plays a key role in the development, management and planning of HÂþ»­â€™s infrastructure, human resources, information management and information technology services, ancillary services, environmental health and safety, athletics, sustainability and financial services.

Gitta has been heavily involved in her profession and in every community in which she has resided. She is a long-standing member of FEI Canada. She is past-president and past chair of the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO), and was previously involved with the County of Lambton Community Development Corporation, the TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario, Ivey Management Services Companies and the Bioindustrial Innovation Centre, to name a few.
