Dr. Leanne Stevens is a HÂþ» University teaching fellow and acting associate dean academic. In this episode, we chat about the benefits and challenges of open education. Dr. Stevens is one of the first recipients of the Open Educational Resources grant offered at HÂþ» University. This grant allowed Dr. Stevens to achieve her goal of making science accessible by creating a free textbook for a first-year undergraduate psychology and neuroscience course. Through this work, Dr. Stevens continues to collaborate with generations of students to incorporate a wide range of ideas into the ever-evolving textbook.

Dr. Jennifer Stamp is a teaching fellow in the department of Psychology and Neuroscience at HÂþ» University. In this episode, we chat about Dr. Stamp’s journey through academia and ways to make teaching and learning more accessible. Dr. Stamp incorporates distance learning and open education materials to reach more people who are interested in learning. Her teaching philosophy is that it is more effective to pull people into learning than push. Â
