POSITION: Teaching Assistant (TA 130) - MUSC 2007.06 Guitar History And TechniquesÌý TERM: 2022 Sumer Term (May 9 – June 27, 2022)ÌýÌý

PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Teaching Assistant work assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Attending lectures, for some or all class sections as assigned.
- Assisting with lecture management, including playing audio and video examples from recordings, DVDs and online sources. Ìý
- Reading and marking papers and exams in consultation with the course instructor. Ìý
- Assisting with class administration through Brightspace (including moderation of online class discussions, posting grades, announcements and links, sound files and images)
Preferably, the Teaching Assistant will contribute to class discussions, participate in musical/instrumental demonstrations, and present a lecture during the term.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: An undergraduate degree in Music is required.Ìý Candidates must be able to play the guitar and must have excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.Ìý Excellent computer skills are required.Ìý Knowledge of digital sound and video recording and playback, including troubleshooting audio visual systems, is an asset.Ìý Ìý
