A message from the Canadian Cancer Society:
April is “Daffodil Month” — where we gather with volunteers in communities all over Canada to raise much-needed funds for cancer research and support. To minimize the spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to stop all in-person fundraising efforts for April. This includes cancelling the Daffodil Preorders at Dal. There is no doubt this is unfortunate as the Daffodil campaign is a deeply meaningful way for people to rally together to show support for the cancer cause. We will be seeking support through online fundraising and will resume in-person activities when the timing is better.
Thank you so much to all of you who show your support each year for this campaign. Dal is our biggest daffodil supporter each year! If you would still like to donate and show your support you can do so by making a donation and receiving a Digital Daffodil that you can share on your social media channels by visiting
Please note, this does not mean we will resume preorders at a late date this year. They will not be able to bring in daffodils from the UK once the weather warms up. If you were planning on purchasing flowers, we urge you to donate online.
