POSITION(S):Ìý Marker(s) – up to 60 hours total

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Chinese Studies Program (Russian Department)

PAY RATE: Hourly as per CUPE Collective Agreement

COURSE INFORMATION: CHIN 2050/SOSA 2051: Chinese Culture (taught in English)

Fall Term 2018-2019 (September 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019)

ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Ìý

WORK ASSIGNMENT: Marker(s) will grade film review papers and term papers (written in English) at the request of the course instructor. Marking preparation may include watching a film, or reading background materials relevant to term papers. In addition to marking assignments and exams, the marker may be required to meet with instructor. Work will be concentrated around class deadlines in late September and early December, and will not exceed 20 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Markers should have proficient English language writing skills, basic knowledge of grammar and writing style, and an ability to work to deadlines. Prior marking experience is preferred but not required.
