HÂþ»â€™s Workplace Wellness Grants Program
was created to fund projects that promote workplace wellness for faculty and
staff through new initiatives, e.g., activities, events, projects, applied
research, or through enhancements to existing initiatives. Nine applications were funded for 2019-2020,
for a total of $25,000 in funding.
The successful applications were:
Centre for Collaborative Clinical Learning
and Research: capitalize on terrace space in the Collaborative Health Education Building for gardening and
individual and group activities
Faculty of Agriculture: a series of events
to rebuild community spirit and promote well-being on the Agricultural Campus
Faculty of Computer Science: a series of
events to build community in Computer Science
Faculty of Dentistry: weekly mat and chair
yoga for students and employees in Dentistry
Faculty of Health: dedicate space and time
in the Forrest Building to promote fitness
Faculty of Health: weekly mindfulness
sessions open to all students and employees
Faculty of Management: dedicate time to
create a plan for fostering a positive and supportive work environment
Faculty of Science: guided walks to connect
all employees to the urban natural environment on the Studley campus
Security Services/Occupational Therapy: OT
students develop a tailored approach to support employees on shift work
