POSITION: Part-time Academic; Aquaculture Modelling (Marine Biology 4600.03); September 1, to December 31, 2016
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology
PAY RATE: $4,881-$5,969
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The instructor is responsible for class lectures, instructing how to use data analysis/modelling/visualization/mapping with PythonTM for the sustainable utilization of aquatic resources. The instructor will also assist students on an individual basis, hire/supervise TA’s, invigilate tests and examinations and mark and submit grades. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The applicants will have an advanced degree in marine biology or oceanography. Previous, recent teaching experience in the related discipline utilizing PythonTM programming would be a definite asset. First time applicants must provide the names of two referees.
