Title:ÌýÌýAdministrative Assistant
Location:Canadian Center for Vaccinology, HÂþ» University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
°Õ±ð°ù³¾:Ìý0.8 FTE, 1 Year Term
±Ê³Ü°ù±è´Ç²õ±ð:ÌýThe Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate operations for faculty members.
³§³¦´Ç±è±ð:ÌýThe Administrative Assistant reports to faculty and is responsible for (but not limited to) administrative functions such as schedules, meetings, residency program support, divisional support, and correspondence.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Pediatric ID Residency Program and division committees
- Supports the academic functions of faculty
- Provides administrative support including, but not limited to, drafting and distributing correspondence, filing, taking minutes at meetings, etc.
- Prepares and distributes letters, memorandums, and other general correspondence
- Processes enquiries and general outgoing and incoming correspondence including faxes, mail, and courier services as required by the division
- Organizes teleconference calls/meetings
- Manages on call, trainee, clinical and unavailability schedules
- Maintains and updates current information related to trainee orientation, evaluation, feedback and faculty teaching assignmentsÌý
- Other duties as required
General Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree in a related field (Business, Administration, Communication or other). A combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience providing a high level of administrative assistance required; experience in a university setting is strongly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Ìý
- Minimum three years of related work experience.

Salary Scale:Ìý$20.26 - $21.47 hourly, commensurate with experience.
