Edit: This work, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been delayed due to unforseen circumstances. It will now take place next weekend. We will update with another notice next week.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic will be disrupted this weekend on University Avenue, in front of the Collaborative Health Education Building (CHEB) construction site at the corner of Summer Street. This work begins on Saturday, September 27th and is expected to continue for the weekend until the end of day on Sunday, September 28th. This partial street closure is required in order to complete the utility service connections for the new CHEB facility.
The westbound vehicle lane and pedestrian sidewalk on this section of University Avenue will be closed for the duration. Appropriate barriers, signage, and traffic control personnel will be present to ensure smooth traffic flows. Barriers will be removed immediately once the work is complete and normal access will resume.
For any issues that may arise during the course of this work, please contact the on-site manager with Bird Construction: Victor Power at 902-818-2502.
