“Evaluating Interprofessional Collaborative Practice within the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Portfolio at Capital Health” is a Level 1 Translating Research in Care (TRIC) supported research/team development project. The overall aim of this project is to develop an evaluation framework and identify evaluation tools to establish baseline collaborative practice and competencies within and across care teams in the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care portfolio (Capital District Health Authority). This work is in preparation for a larger research project.
• The research associate will work with the project team to:
• Perform a literature search including primary studies, grey literature and online sources to identify literature, studies, evaluation tools to inform the project
• Assist in identifying exemplar projects to inform the current project
• Assist in identifying potential evaluation tools that can be used to evaluate interprofessional collaborative practice at Capital District Health Authority
• Assist in preparing presentations/reports
• Assist in preparing Level 2 TRIC grant proposal
• Other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• Research-based Master’s degree or degree in progress in a relevant field (social or health sciences, applied health services research) or equivalent.
• Excellent written and organizational skills
• Excellent literature search skills
• Ability to critically appraise the literature
• Understanding of the concepts of interprofessional collaboration and/or interprofessional education an asset
• Experience with program evaluation an asset
• Experience with Microsoft Office, database search, engines, and reference management software
• Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative, interprofessional team
Status: Casual relief position, approximately 90 hours
Term: June 2014 - January 2015
Rate: Research Associate Step 1 $24.28/hour
Start date: ASAP
