The Division of Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, HÂþ» University invites applications for an Education Research Scientist; this is a tenure stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The Education Scientist will build an active program of research in medical education; provide academic leadership and mentoring in medical education research and scholarship.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Education and a record of accomplishment that demonstrates excellence in research and potential for excellence in teaching. Experience in a medical education context is required. Areas of special interest within the Faculty of Medicine include distributed medical education, use of technology in teaching and learning, social issues in Medical Education faculty.
The Education Research Scientist will be an outstanding researcher in the early stages of career development with an established program of Tri-Council funded research who will have trained in a social science discipline with applicability to medical education. S/he will have expertise using qualitative research methodologies. S/he will also have expertise in the area of medical education assessment.
