POSITION: Part-time Academic, MARA 5013.03, Marine Protected Areas
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Faculty of Science, Marine Affairs Program
PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The successful applicant will be teaching and coordinating the Winter Term of MARA 5013 Marine Protected Areas in the Marine Affairs Program. This graduate level half credit course will be conducted in the Winter Term of the 2013-2014 Academic year (January to April 2014).
The successful applicant is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class including planning and directing classroom-based activities, marking assignments and providing tutorial support to the students as required during the winter term.
The successful applicant reports to the Interim Director of the Marine Affairs Program.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must, as a minimum, possess a Master's degree in a marine related field and hold marine protected area management experience in the field.
