POSITION:   Teaching Assistant   (Sept –December, 2013)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:Â Â Â School of Business Administration
PAY RATE:Â Â Â $968 (45hrs) (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)
WORK ASSIGNMENT:   The Teaching Assistant will assist with Comm 1101 – Intro Financial Accounting…..Wednesdays…..5:35-6:55pm
(Sept-Dec)
Precis:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1.   Conduct tutorials, (on Wednesdays…..5:35-6:55pm) and help sessions
2.   General administration
3.   Assist Instructor when needed
4.   Meeting with students for assistance
5.   Be available to assist with invigilating examination.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
The position is ideally for an Undergrad Accounting Major in 3rd or 4th year, or an MBA Candidate with the Academic Undergrad in Accounting. Must have a high academic standing. To be able to prepare and present tutorials and to be available for consultation with students. Good interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction. To be well organized.
