The King’s College Chapel Choir will perform the fourth annual ‘For All The Saints’ concert on Sunday, 4 November, 4.00 PM in the Cathedral Church of All Saints. The centrepiece of this concert is the dramatic and rarely performed Schnittke Requiem, which is scored for choir, soloists, trumpet, trombone, organ, piano, celeste, electric bass and guitars and a host of percussion instruments. Music director Paul Halley directs the choir and Ensemble Regale in this haunting portrayal of chaos, despair, and darkness—and of a stark and awe-inspiring beauty. The concert also contains pieces by Herbert Howells and William Byrd. Tickets are available from the King’s Co-op Bookstore—student tickets are just $10.
