On September 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Halifax Central Library’s Paul O'Regan Hall, 13 students and alumni from H and universities across the region will compete in the Falling Walls Lab Atlantic Canada pitch competition. “The world is facing a lot of challenges. From climate change to social strife, there is much to be concerned about. But we can’t lose hope and that is what Falling Walls is all about,” says Alice Aiken, H’s vice president research and innovation. “It’s an evening to celebrate forward-looking solutions and a future that can be made brighter with bright ideas.”

Attendees will be treated to lightning-fast presentations providing a glimpse into the freshest thinking on how to bring clean water to the world, deliver power without fossil fuels, conserve energy, reduce waste, improve our health and longevity, breed better crops, protect our oceans, keep our most vulnerable safe, and more.
