Women’s volleyball

The Tigers travelled to Brandon, Manitoba for the CIS championship. The team fought hard all weekend and played their way to a sixth place finish.

As the number six seed, the Tigers first test of the weekend was against the number three UBCO Heat in a quarter-final match-up. UBCO came out very strong and the eventual bronze medal winners would take the game in three sets, sending the Tigers to the consolation round.

In consolation semifinal game, the Tigers faced off against the McGill Martlets. The Tigers would take the match in five sets to claim their first win of the tournament. Anna Dunn-Suen delivered the winning kill of the match off a nice setup from Abby Czenze.

The Tigers final game of the tournament came on Sunday in the consolation final against the Montreal Carabins. Montreal took the match in three sets to claim a fifth-place finish while the Tigers finished sixth.
