Phoebe Lenderyou, Swimming
First-year swimmer Phoebe Lenderyou is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Phoebe established herself as one of the best swimmers in the AUS this past weekend, winning all four individual events she competed in (50m Back, 100m Fly, 50m Fly, and 200m IM) at the 2015 Subway AUS Swimming Championships this past weekend. She also won gold as part of all three of the Tigers relay teams, upping her gold medal count to seven over the course of the weekend.
She set and reset five new HÂþ» and AUS swim records this weekend, bringing Phoebe’s AUS record-setting (and resetting) haul to 13 AUS and Dal records so far this winter, in just her second meet of the season.
She will be competing in the CIS Championships in Victoria in two weeks.
Phoebe is a management student and hails from Newcastle, England.

Tony Liew, Swimming
Second-year swimmer Tony Liew is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Liew claimed gold in the 50m backstroke and breaststroke events at the 2015 Subway AUS Swimming Championships over the weekend. He also won gold with his fellow Tigers in the 400m freestyle and medley relays and added a second place finish in the 50m freestyle.
Tony will travel to Victoria with the rest of his Tiger teammates in two weeks for the CIS Championships.
A native of Peterborough, O.N., Liew is a health professions student.
