Professors Richard Brown and Sara Iverson have been asked to join an exclusive group at HÂş»­ – they’ve been awarded the title of University Research Professor, an honour granted to just 15 HÂş»­ faculty members at one time.

The title of University Research Professor is granted to 15 individual HÂş»­ faculty members who have achieved distinction in scholarship. It was first granted in 2002 and has a five-year term.

“It’s very nice to be recognized in this way,†says Dr. Iverson, who is interested in how marine mammals adapt to and exploit their environments.

Dr. Brown, professor with the Department of Psychology, and Dr. Iverson, professor with the Department of Biology, join these other University Research Professors:
