, an associate professor in the School of Public Administration, has agreed to serve as the Assistant Dean of Research, beginning January 27, 2014. Dominika completed all of her degrees at the University of Manitoba in Economics and in Health Economics and joined HÂþ» in 2004. She manages two large, well-funded research programs, one focused on the payment and governance of primary health care providers and teams, and the second on the decision-making processes involved in the public funding of cancer drugs. She holds three sizeable research grants, two from the Canadian Institute for Health Research and one from the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation.

Her success in obtaining grants and successfully managing large research projects will be an asset in supporting the members of our Faculty to even greater levels of success. She will work closely with the research leads and Directors in our four Schools to promote a strong research culture and establish a research strategy for the Faculty. She will also serve as the Faculty's representative on the HÂþ» Research Advisory Committee and other university-wide research initiatives.
