Thank you everyone who participated in our giveaway - sending a shoutout to a health-care hero in their lives! Congratulations to our winners and the health-care workers they nominated: Chika Chiekwe (Michelle Mason), Tina Youssef (Nada Toulany) and Emma Hart (Scott Keeling).
The Faculty of Health at HÂþ» has strong connections to our health-care workers. Many are our alumni, students, faculty, staff or colleagues (including nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, social workers, nuclear medicine technologists and more). Whether you are a member of our Dal Health community or not, we want to thank everyone on the front lines. We are so appreciative of everything you do to keep us safe.
As we begin to emerge out of the COVID-19 pandemic, my gratitude for our health workers continues to grow. From our frontline health-care providers, to those in public health supporting policies and decisions, our government partners and health authorities, I am grateful for the seamless work that kept Nova Scotians as safe as possible during the pandemic. I know that this work has come with sacrifices, sleepless nights, and countless hours of work. We in the Faculty of Health want you to know how thankful we are for all that you have done and continue do to support our health and health systems, including your contributions to educating our Health students through preceptorship and clinical education. From all of us at Dal Health – THANK YOU! - Dr. Brenda Merritt, Dean of the Faculty of Health
