Posted by Trudi Smith on January 9, 2017 in FHP Achievements

Congratulations to faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends on their recent achievements:

  • Nursing students Keisha Jefferies and Nadine Ezzeddine have partnered with Health Promotion student Yue Yuan to compete in the World's Challenge Challenge.  The Challenge sees teams of three - comprised of students from at least two disciplines - address a global issue from a unique perspective.  Keisha, Nadine and Yue will tackle the issue of "Exclusive Breastfeeding in Tanzania."
  • Nursing alum Dr. Josephine Etowa (right) was named one of Canada's top 25 Immigrants by Canadian Immigrant magazine.
  • Nursing alum Dr. Judith McFetridge-Durdle was in recognition of her research on cardiovascular health for women
  • Gail Tomblin Murphy and Marsha Campbell-Yeo from the School of Nursing are part of a team who recently received funding from Grand Challenges Canada to work with Jamaica's Ministry of Health and Women's Health Network to provide sustained, effective essential care to mothers and newborns in Jamaica.  The project will receive funding of $100,000 per year.
