The Department of Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences, welcomes and congratulates Dr. Chijioke Emenike on his appointment as Assistant Professor, Agricultural Residue Chemistry.  Dr. Emenike’s position is effective September 1, 2021
Chijioke Emenike was a Research Fellow in Pollutant Impacts at the School of Nutrition Sciences, at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He holds a Visiting-Faculty position at the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, Hezekiah University, Nigeria.
Dr. Emenike’s holds a PhD in Environmental Toxicology and Bioremediation. His research takes the chemical sciences and biotechnology approaches in exploring toxicity assessments, remediation and pollution control, fate of chemicals and agricultural residues, emerging food technologies, sustainable and value-added processing, and waste management.
He has published over 30 journal articles and book chapters. He serves as Site Reviewer for Canadian Environmental Accreditation Commission.
