AggieWIL Update
“…this is a very helpful service, this school continues to impress me with how student orientated they are. Thank you again for all the hard work you put into it!”
“This session was super informative and I really appreciated the opportunity! I think a lot of people can benefit from sessions like this! Thanks so much for taking time from your busy schedule to put this on!”
“I would like to thank RBC for taking time out of their busy days to come by and help us out.”
These are just a few quotes from the 50 students who brought their resume last Wednesday to have it reviewed by an RBC professional. Sara Bos, and her crew of Barb and Claude from the local RBC branch, as well as Dr. Keltie Jones, Assistant Dean, Students & Academic Administration, spent their day in the Student Learning Commons providing consultations for students from a variety of programs.
This is the second year that RBC volunteers have come to campus to provide this valuable service for our students. Last year, there were 31 students who participated, demonstrating that student interest is growing. Sara even mentioned that she felt that student engagement was “up from last year” and that she “thoroughly enjoyed the day and look(s) forward to the next one!”
Next up? The AggieWIL Fair!
The week of February 11-14 a variety of employers will be on campus to speak to students about the possibilities! The AggieWIL Fair runs from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day, with a different group of employers each day. Some positions are posted prior to the event on the Aggie WIL Facebook page and some employers will be conducting on-site interviews. Positions range from summer students and internships to full-time careers and succession plans.
