On March 14th and 15thÌý HÂþ» University will be hosting the second edition of Canada’sÌý Business Model Competition. Student entrepreneurs from across Canada will be traveling to Halifax for a chance to win their share of the $50,000 prize pool and the opportunity to showcase their start-up. If you are a current full or part time student entrepreneur enrolled at a Canadian University, we would like to invite you to apply to compete. Details can be found on the -Ìý .
One of the highlights of the competition will be a fireside chat with Steve Blank on Friday afternoon March 14th at 4:00 PM. is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded or participated in eight Silicon Valley start[ups. Of these startups, four have gone public. After 21 successful years in the business world, he retired and wrote Four Steps to the Epiphany and The Startup Owner’s Manual. He also developed the Lean Launchpad canvas and is credited as one of the primary instigators of the Lean Startup movement. Steve teaches entrepreneurship to both graduate and undergraduate students at U.C. Berkeley, Columbia University, Stanford University, Caltech and University of California San Francisco.
