United Way Campaign Payroll Deduction Program

Posted by stephanie rogers on October 31, 2013 in News

The United Way Campaign for 2013 is coming to a close. Thank you to everyone who organized a fundraiser or took part in one or more. Your continued support is greatly appreciated and the fundraisers were a lot of fun.

Final Challenge is that we are striving for 100% participation from the H Agricultural Campus. Participation is determined by the number of employees who contribute through the Payroll Deduction Program or one-time donations.

Forms have been forwarded to your department or area; if you have not received them, please let me know. Any amount donated will be wisely used and greatly appreciated.

Please consider donating through the Employee Payroll Deduction Program or providing an individual donation (same form). It is the easiest and best way to give to the United Way of Colchester County. Large or small, your donations will be used to change lives in Colchester County. As little as $1.00 per pay x 26 pays = $26.00 for the year = one back to school kit for a child. Your donation will give that one child a great start in school – perhaps that child will be one of our future students.

All forms and donations must be returned to me by November 6.

Remember the Challenges issued at the start of the campaign.

Challenge 1: Any employee who participates in the Payroll Deduction Program or gives a one-time donation will have their name entered into the Parking Spot Contest. At the end of the campaign one name will be drawn from all who participated; Prize is a dedicated parking spot for one year in the winner’s area. Provided by H Safety & Security.

Challenge 2: The Department or Section with the highest percentage of employee participation (payroll deduction or donation) will win “Coffee with the Dean”; Coffee and Mini Muffins, donated by Chartwells, will be supplied for a coffee break with the Dean after the campaign closes.

Thank you,

Marilyn Roberts
