ArcticNet is pleased to announce its upcoming Call for Proposals (CFP) launching in late September. This initiative invites applications for the following programs, with a tentative deadline of December 20, 2024. The CFP will be managed by ArcticNet online via Survey Monkey. Detailed eligibility criteria will be made available in Fall 2024.

Please note, all program submissions must include a signed community engagement form or a letter of support from relevant community organizations/partners.

1. Inuit Qaujisarnirmut Pilirijjutit (IQP):

If you have any questions regarding the IQP program, please contact Aisha Sada, Program Officer - Northern-led Research, at aisha.sada@arcticnet.ulaval.ca

2. Partnered Research Program

For the Partnered Program, applications must specify if the project team is led or co-led by an Indigenous and/or Northern researcher. If not, the application should highlight active participation of Indigenous and/or Northern partners as part of the research team (as researchers, collaborators, HQP, etc.). Priority will be given to applications with robust Indigenous partnerships and diverse, multidisciplinary teams (encompassing various career stages and gender diversity).

ArcticNet will fund several small ($50K), medium ($50-150K), and a few large projects ($200-$400K) annually for a 3 to 4-year project lifecycle. Teams must include members from multiple institutions/organizations.

For questions about the Partnered program, please contact Anne-Laure Agrinier, Science Program Officer, at anne-laure.agrinier@arcticnet.ulaval.ca

3. Indigenous Connections Grants

This is a new program designed to foster collaboration between northern community members and researchers, providing them with the necessary skills to co-develop proposals and address pressing local challenges through research. Eligible activities under this grant will include costs associated with workshops, meetings, and communications activities.

The grant award will range from a minimum of $15,000 to a maximum of $20,000.

If you have any questions regarding the Indigenous Connections Grant program, please contact Aisha Sada, Program Officer - Northern-led Research, at aisha.sada@arcticnet.ulaval.ca
