Atlantic PATH

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on December 11, 2018 in Announcements

The Atlantic Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health (PATH) study is a resource that can help researchers save time, effort, and money that would normally need to be spent recruiting study participants and collecting data and biological samples.

Atlantic PATH, the Atlantic branch of the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow Project (CPTP), is Canada’s largest health research platform designed to expedite studies on how genetics, the environment, lifestyle, and behaviour interact with and contribute to the development of cancer and other chronic diseases. CPTP has recruited over 300,000 participants across 5 cohorts who have completed questionnaires as well as provided biological samples. Participants will continue to be followed for 30 years and data will be linked to administrative health records to provide additional health outcome information, enriching the database over time.

This is an extraordinary resource for researchers in Atlantic Canada. Please visit the  for more information or contact vanessa.de.clercq@dal.ca to set up a meeting or a seminar to learn more about Atlantic PATH and how researchers can access data and biological samples.
